Mango flesh

exchanged

between teeth.

My mouth mourns 

the absence 

of my molars.

In my palm

they are ivory die

without pupils.

The fifth spat, metallic 

and singing, flesh feverishly 

clings to roots.

The dimple in my cartilage,

a soft thumbprint in clay

just below my throat

burns where thin fingers 

strung pearly bone

with rosary beads.

Do you run your tongue 

across your gums

thinking of me? 

She is a creature,

porcelain and purring.

My jaw aches

as your fingers reach

past central incisors.

Mind my canines!

There you are,

in my marrow.
